9 DARTERS plus one other

For those that missed it, enjoy watching Phil Taylor make televised history by hitting TWO 9 darters in a match, against James Wade in the Premier League playoff finals last night. Brilliant darts. AS well as Gerards edition I have added my own little video. Please watch as it is brilliant and a perfect example of what goes on at J Clark Flooring on a day to day basis.
It has been placed in the video gallery

MATCH STATS PAGE

Introducing the new Match Stats page. To my knowledge, this has not been done before so I am taking the plunge as I know lots of players like me love to know their teams averages etc

Each teams stats will list in order of their current position in the league and will be updated each week when the results come in. The left column is statistical information and the right column is mostly averages taken from all matches both home and away a team has currently played

The reason for averages not being a rounded number is because of the one point a team can win for a 7-6 loss, so though it will seem odd to have, say an average of winning 5.5 legs, this is an accurate stat rather than rounding up to the next single number. I’ve included all the stats I can think of and hope I have made them clear enough for every member to understand!

If there is a stat a member wishes to add, then let me know at the email below and I will try to include it. This is the first draft of the States page which I plan to update and modify over time, and I welcome any comments, good or bad, to make this page one which will be enjoyed by all members

dartsinw6.com@gmail.com

TEAMS PAGE

The Teams page is now up on the site. All the teams from both divisions are listed in alphabetical order with the most recent picture I have and their location. By clicking on the picture or ‘Google Map’ text will take you to Google to find where the location is

This page is mainly aimed for new players to the HDDA who need to know about any team in either division and how to get to a match. It is planned for the future to expand on the Teams page by creating a dedicated page for each team, which will have much more info like registered team players, past history etc, and I hope will be able to also invite players from each team the opportunity to update their page with any info they wish to add, so to involve members with the site and their team

If any of the information on this current Team page is incorrect or a team wish to use a newer picture, then please email me at the address below:

dartsinw6.com@gmail.com

I would also appreciate if members from each team could email me the bus numbers that go to your pub, as this is information that will be useful for new players and I do not know all the bus numbers for each place

SUMMER SEASON FULL FIXTURES

The Summer seasons full fixtures are now up on the site

This season we have taken a different format in an effort to make finding information quicker and easier for us all. There is now a separate page for all the Division 1 and Division 2 fixtures and results. As matches are played these 2 pages will be updated with the results,180’s and highest finishes. After this weeks first matches, both Division 1 and Division 2 tables will be published on one page. Until this is published I’ll keep the final Winter seasons tables on view for anyone interested

We are also going to be putting a post on the Home page each week that will have the next round of matches to be played as a quick reference and omit the need to search through any pages, plus the Calendar events will also have each weeks matches fixtures like last season which I’ll do tomorrow

After the week 2 matches, I am planning on introducing a ‘stats’ page. For all the stats enthusiasts like me, the aim is to provide match stats like average legs won per game, average points won at home/away, average score per match etc. I have included every possible stat I can think of, but if there are any more anyone wishes to add or any stat that is not clear, then please let me or Jason know so we can amend them accordingly

We are in a position to be able to update the site with the scores/tables immediately after the matches are played, which we are keen to achieve. However, this can only happen if the captain of each team (or one captain from the match) texts Frank the result on the night so he is able to collaborate them all and send them to me. There’s no point in publishing tables until all the results are in and we can’t be at 8 places at the same time, so the only way we can keep the scores/tables up-to-date is if Frank has the results asap. The paperwork can follow in the post as normal. Its most realistic that the results/tables will be published on the site on the Friday morning of each week

And most importantly of all, REMEMBER THAT THIS SITE IS FOR US ALL! We are not making these efforts for our own benefit, but for every single member in the HDDA league. This is ‘our’ league and ‘our’ site and if any member has ideas/features they want on the site, things you like or don’t like etc, then let us know so we can do something about it. It is our one and only aim that this site & the HDDA league is an enjoyable experience for every single member, and we can only ever achieve this fully with every members input and collaboration

Captain Web

STANDING BY YOUR COMMITTEE

First of all I must send my apologies for not being in attendance at this months meetings due to my PDC commitments.

When I go away playing knowing that there is a meeting I leave with the utmost confidence in the committee. We have been working on finding the correct formula to the running of the league , the right competitions , the best way to do a presentation the correct thing for ALL.

I personally believe that we are very close to finding the best formula to all, this takes a lot of hard work behind the scenes, for instance we now have Gerard Loret full time on the Website and during the summer Will be introducing Scott McCarthy also. This will at least keep the website knockers at bay.

Secondly,  the committee have a meeting once a month to come up with a happy medium. IE when the committee decide to have 7 and 9 teams respectively in two divisions it is for a reason. And not a reason for people to complain about and hold the HDDA to ransom.

This time around it appears that the change may well be for the best. BUT if everyone turned out at the meetings every month these situations would not arise. We had this problem before with the dark side and there moans about the league. Only for them to go away and start up there own and copy everything we do anyway.

I have new sponsorship deals coming in after this season and the committee have one fantastic new idea for the Summer (if brought in at the AGM) but it is situations like this that bring ourselves to ask the question .....Is it worth it.

The AGM is coming up at the end of the season and I openly request that some of you stand up and be counted INSTEAD of sitting back and causing trouble.

Therefore I am making one last stand before the AGM and that is should the Committee have to make a decision for example about the amount of teams in a division made by what info we are given or told at the meeting these decisions ARE and WILL BE FINAL.. The fact that people have caused Frank in one day to redo the fixtures is a disgrace.

Just for the record now Frank has been trying to do the fixtures today and has just phoned to inform he has been unable to do them. And to be honest I wouldn't blame him for giving up thinking is it worth it.

We have a great bunch in the HDDA but sometimes a little bit more thinking before shouting off is required.

MUST DO MEETING

The next meeting on the 11th APRIL is to be classed as a MUST DO MEETING

It is IMPERATIVE that EACH team is represented at this meeting at the Live & Let Live at 11:30am

The Committee WILL be enforcing MAJOR fines for non attendance.

The paperwork for the Summer season is also to be returned.

If you all comply, then the season will be starting on the 15th April

A Little Bit More HELP

As you know the The HDDA have already made the Help for Heroes fund its main Charity.
And Now the HDDA can proudly say it has a Player doing a little bit more.

Jason Clark has decided to Donate 50% of his all PDC winnings 2010  to the Help for Heroes charity.

Currently Jason has to give 50% to Christine Thorpe of MaRoT Ltd which goes to Jasons Travel, hotel and Entryfees leaving 50% which goes to Jason.

But for 2010 at least that remaining 50% will now be donated to Help for Heroes.

When Jason was last playing full time he won £20,000 plus and even reached world No:39 over an 18 month period.
Lets hope now that he is fully recovered from his shoulder injury he can earn more and maybe climb back up the rankings.

Of Coarse this means that Jason, will earn NO money whatsoever from the 2010 PDC tour.

We will be setting up the HDDA pay pal account on the site this week and any one wishing to back the H4H or even help out with expenses via sponsorship of Jason will be able to do so via this service.

Jason will also be wearing new dart shirts which are the three colours of H4H

NEW MEETING VENUE

Due to some of the committee members NOT being able to attend any meetings at the Favourite Public House. The committee have decided in the best interests of the HDDA that a new venue for the meetings was required.

After taking in all considerations ie travel and of coarse the opening of venue at 11:30pm we are pleased to inform you that ALL meetings for the remainder of 2010 will be held at the Live and let live Public house in North End Road. at 11:30am

The HDDA committee would like to thank the Favourite Public House for all support given for the meetings and the HDDA in the past.

Calendar

Gerard Loret, our new man on the site has Already UPDATED the calander pages
And I must say they are looking fantastic. I can only urge you to visit these pages and help Gerard out with any info you may have.
i haven't been able to set Gerard out with an email yet but you can send anything to info@dartsinw6.com and i will pass it on.

Thanks Gerard, Great job being done.

WIN lose or draw update

Firstly I would like to thank ALL entrants into the win lose or draw
We had 58 in total, which in a fantastic return for the first one.

I must say though I am very surprised by some who didn't enter and the very negative output some have given (members that is)

But hay ho.

maybe they forgot..................

We will get only bigger and better. I have already devised the next coupon lay out to make it fool proof, I found myself doing this from the great feedback. Hopefully I have put into place evrything you want.

RESULTS PAGES UP KEEP

It has be noticed that others from within the HDDA have there own websites and are telephoning ,texting and e-mailing captains and secretaries for results in order to keep their own sites updated.
We are not against this, but have found that this is making our very own secs very lazy in contacting the H.D.D.A. the next day or even straight after the match via text or email.
Over the last few weeks the result page has not been on the site. But it has made a welcome return now and in an attempt to keep it up to date we have introduced Gerald Loret to work alongside me.

We are also thinking about getting stronger on fines for late results.

Emails to send to are:  TO BE CONFIRMED THIS AFTERNOON
send texts to Farnk Gray

New Moderator joins site

As I mentioned briefly on the site before christmas I will be introducing new moderators to the site. Today I can confirm that Gerard Loret of the Live and let live has excepted the mission.
Gerard will be working on the calander page. This is a page we believe that will soon become one of the most important on the site. bringing together a stronger and tighter community in the HDDA.
Gerald will be loading the calander pages full of info from outside the HDDA aswell.
Gerald will be email all captains for birthday info on our members and i am sure he will introduce some of his own touches as well.
At the moment we are going to phase in slowly Gerard and then we will be introducing our second moderator.

Presentation Night 2010

I know its early yet but already we have to start planning the presentation night.
And I need your help.

Its your choice, you can have E|ric Bristow and Keith Deller or Andy Fordham, as I said its your choice so let me know.

info@dartsinw6.com

Presentation Night Photos

The Photos are now on site click on Your photos in Nav bar on the side.

Try looking in the B & W folder
they are good.

Quick pick form page for WIN lose or draw

A quick pick form has now been added to the WIN lose or draw page ..........   click here

WEEKS ARE CAUGHT UP

With this season being split into three divisions we have been able to catch up on valuable weeks. and will now be able to return to two divisions.

Should we have the same teams next season the two divisions will be made up from the 6 teams currently in division one and the top two from division two the remaining 3 teams in division two and the 5 teams in division 3 will make up the second tier.

This is subject to any new teams joining and any leaving........

FIXTURES UPDATE

Finally finally i have found time to put the fixtures on the site.
PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE SOME CHANGES TOWARDS THE END OF THE SEASON AND THIS FIXTURE LIST WILL BE THE ONLY ONE WE WILL BE USING.

Britannia Cup

The Britannia Cup gets under way this week.
The 1st Round was drawn at the December meeting and has thrown up some interesting draws.

Elm v Springbok A
Pavilion A v Live & Let Live
Shepherds Bush Club v Royal Oak
Fox & Hounds v Pavilion B

WIN, lose or draw

WELL WELL WELL.....
I place the sheets on the website on Thursday afternoon and hand out some at Nu-Line and already with just the FOX and Hounds, Live and Let Live and Nu-Line we have over 50 entries
With one week left before the big kick off we are expecting a lot lot more.
We are also expecting a big return from the one other BIG company should the the main man remember to take them in.
WATCH THIS SPACE.

NEW Supporter of the H.D.D.A.

The H.D.D.A. are pleased annouce that NU-LINE Builders Merchants are now proud supporters of the H.D.D.A.
I would like to welcome NU-LINE especially all its workers who have supported the the HDDA in previous evernts but also in events to come........

WIN , lose or draw

Just when you thought it was safe, after the Predict the Score came to a very sad ending.
WE ARE BACK but this time BIGGER and EASIER.
When the PTS finished Steve Cleary started something BUSTER, some f you went in to it as I did, but sadly the with PTS gone and the BUSTER being run independant from the H.D.D.A.
We have found ourselves trying differnet ways to fill the £500 plus raised each year.
So I have started up WIN LOSE or DRAw. basically the same idea as Steves BUSTER but we are aiming to make it a lot bigger and we have a few more rules than others to make it more interesting.
I have currenty two contractors involved aswell as the HDDA it is open for anyone to enter and as well as the HDDA being donated 5% of the MONIES collected we are also donating 5% to the HELP FOR HEROES FUND.

To view the WIN, lose or draw coupon click here....

When A Plan comes together

Don't you just love it when.......
I DID say i was going to update the site during the Christmas Period and had set aside a couple of days to do so...... but wouldn't you know it, someone took me out for a drinkypoos and that wa that.
So I set aside last Saturday and Sunday to crack on and then my Grandson gets taking into hospital......  And for those who have enquired - Hes fine and we hope to have him out by tomorrow.

So here I am updating today and tomorrow and god willing it should all get done.
